On the afternoon of November 7th, a working delegation from the Department of Science and Technology, led by Pham Van Trinh, a member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Department, held a meeting with the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc Ward regarding the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Joining the meeting were Ngo Hong Khang, the Chairman of the Ward's People's Committee, along with leaders from the People's Committee and various specialized departments of the ward.
Reporting to the working delegation on digital transformation, the leadership of the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc Ward stated that from July 1, 2025, the Public Administrative Service Center of the ward has digitized 99.98% of records and resolution results. The IOC Center (successor of the old Dong Xoai city) is currently operational and has proven effective in management and administration, contributing to improving the quality of service for the people and businesses. The Dong Nai-S management and administration system is used uniformly, providing over 250 accounts for online work processing. Binh Phuoc Ward also maintains community digital technology teams in residential areas.
Based on the proposals and recommendations from the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc Ward, the members of the working group also discussed infrastructure investment, foundational support, and training in digital transformation. At the same time, they clarified the content and direction for implementing several key targets and tasks set for the realization of digital government, digital economy, and digital society. The goal of piloting the smart ward initiative in the province was also acknowledged and highly appreciated by the working group. Additionally, the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc Ward needs to focus on incorporating several key tasks in the fields of science, technology, and innovation into the investment direction for the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation during the period of 2026-2028.
Speaking at the working session, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc Ward, Ngo Hong Khang, acknowledged the content discussed by the delegation. Binh Phuoc Ward will adjust and select key tasks in accordance with the delegation's direction to set appropriate goals, targets, and implementation orientations to serve the mission of developing science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Pham Van Trinh expressed appreciation for the goals and directions of the ward in implementing digital transformation across various fields. He agreed with the proposal for the province to select Binh Ward as a pilot for building a smart ward. At the same time, the leadership of the Department of Science and Technology is committed to supporting Binh Phuoc Ward in digital transformation, innovation, and piloting the development of new models and solutions.
